BATTERY CHARGING ASSEMBLY

A battery charging assembly (30) for charging a battery of a mobile device includes a charging unit (34), an output assembly (36) and an input assembly (38). The charging unit (34) has a power converter for converting an input voltage to a desired output voltage. The output assembly (36) is coupled to the charging unit (34) for charging a battery of a mobile device. The input assembly (38) is detachably associated with the charging unit (34) and includes an adapter (32) for removable attachment to the charging unit (34), a power cord (44), and a plug (46) configured to mate with a style of electrical outlet such that the charging unit (34) is positionable at a remote location from the electrical outlet (20). A set of input assemblies is provided. An adapter (32) for coupling a power cord (44) to a receptacle associated with a power converter is also provided.
