PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve operating device structured to operate a switching handle for switchover between water supply and drainage using a guide pin and a slot, including an operation error protection structure, and capable of detecting that an operator is completed with handle operation.SOLUTION: A handle operating device comprises a drive member that includes: a cylindrical guide member; an operating rod assembled into the guide member; and a guide pin stretched between a pin insertion lateral hole provided to penetrate the operating rod and a pair of inclined slots provided at point symmetrical positions on opposite surfaces on a circumference of the guide member, respectively. Each of the paired inclined slots formed in the guide member, in relation to the drive member, includes an intermediate inclined portion. An upper end continuous to this intermediate inclined portion includes an upper horizontal portion; and a reversely inclined portion continuous to the upper horizontal portion, and a lower end continuous to the intermediate inclined portion includes a lower horizontal portion; and a reversely recessed portion continuous to this lower horizontal portion. |
