A flood barrier 10 for an aperture, comprising a first section 12 and a second section 14, slidably connected to the first section. A first seal (32, Fig. 5) is located between the two sections. A second seal 34 is located around the outer perimeter of the first and second sections. A securing arrangement 52, for securing the barrier within an aperture, is provided. The panels can slide between a first position (Fig 1), in which the sections substantially overlap, and a second position in which the two panels are extended laterally with respect to one another. The second seal comprises a first sealing portion, located substantially around the outer perimeter of the rear surface of the first section and a second sealing portion, locate substantially around the outer perimeter of the second panel. The securing arrangement may include a plurality of removable brackets. |
