PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-reflection film having a moth-eye structure formed on a surface thereof, which offers high durability against pressure in a thickness direction of the moth-eye structure, low reflectance and low haze, and to provide a polarizing plate having the same, a cover glass, an image display device, and a manufacturing method for the anti-reflection film.SOLUTION: An anti-reflection film comprises a base material and an anti-reflection layer containing a binder resin and metal oxide particles having an average primary diameter of 50-250 nm, inclusive, the metal oxide particles having a hydroxyl content no more than 1.00×10on a surface thereof and an indentation hardness no less than 400 MPa, and the binder resin containing a hydroxyl group. The anti-reflection layer has a moth-eye structure comprising a concavo-convex pattern formed by metal oxide particles on a surface thereof on a side opposite an interface with the base material. Also disclosed herein are a polarizing plate having such an anti-reflection film, a cover glass, an image display device, and a manufacturing method for the anti-reflection film.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
