A method for forming (10) a fuse comprising: threading a fusible element (30) through a cavity (25) of a fuse body (20) with ends of the fusible element (30) being disposed on end faces at respective ends (26-A, 26-B) of the fuse body (20); and depositing an insulative adhesive (40-A, 40-B) within the cavity (25) proximate the ends (26-A, 26-B) of the fuse body (20), wherein the insulative adhesive (40-A, 40-B) adheres to an interior surface of the fuse body (20) and seals the cavity (25).
