PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submerged slide member in which damage or seizure on a slide surface of a metal substrate is less likely to occur, without directly contacting the slide surface of the metal substrate with an opposite material, in starting of a device.SOLUTION: A submerged slide member includes a metal substrate having a slide surface, and a lubrication plug. In the metal substrate, a plurality of holes or recess parts opened to the slide surface is formed, and in the hole or recess part, the lubrication plug is buried. The lubrication plug is formed from a synthetic resin, and has a slide front surface. The slide front surface of the lubrication plug projects from the slide surface of the metal substrate so that a projection height is 0.05%-5% of a circle equivalent diameter of the slide front surface of the lubrication plug.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
