PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a NOx cleaning rate.SOLUTION: A reducer adding device for adding a reducer to an upstream side of a NOx cleaning device 15 of an exhaust passage 10ex of an internal combustion engine 10, includes a catalyst device 41. The catalyst device 41 has a hydrogen generating catalyst generating hydrogen by making fuel supplied from a fuel injection valve 33 (fuel supply device) react with oxygen. When a reduction catalyst of the NOx cleaning device 15 has a prescribed temperature or more, the fuel supplied from the fuel injection valve 33 is added to the exhaust passage 10ex as a reducer while stopping generation of the hydrogen by the catalyst device 41. On the other hand, when the reduction catalyst has a temperature less than the prescribed value, the fuel supplied from the fuel injection valve 33 is added to the exhaust passage 10ex as the reducer while generating hydrogen by the catalyst device 41 and adding the hydrogen to the exhaust passage 10ex. |
