PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable inner-folding bookbinding by staple-free binding.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device 3 includes: a second sheet-bundle forming unit 36 loading thereon a sheet bundle PB; a binding tool ST with which a saddle stitching unit 35 performs a staple-free binding on the sheet bundle PB loaded on the second sheet-bundle forming unit 36; and a folding plate 38 and press rollers 39 and 40 (folding means) for performing a folding process on the sheet bundle PB loaded on the second sheet-bundle forming unit 36 by means of an inner-folding unit 34. The sheet-bundle forming unit 36 includes an alignment plate 37 that can hold the sheet bundle PB with an end PBa inclined. The saddle stitching unit 35 performs the binding process on the sheet bundle PB at a different position from a center-folded position PB1 with the binding tool ST. |
