PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver feeling estimation device and method for appropriately estimating the driver state indicating driver feeling.SOLUTION: In a region specified using an environment difficulty required for a driving operation and a driving skill of a driver, as a driver state, the following regions are set: "pleasure region PA" in which the driving skill can be improved on the basis of the pleasure and security feeling; "boredom region PC" in which an environment difficulty lower than that of "pleasure region PA" makes the driver bored; and "anxiety region PB" in which an environment difficulty higher than that of "pleasure region PA" makes the driver anxious. When the driver state is changed by increase or decrease of the assist amount by driving support, modification is performed so that the border of the change exists at an intermediate position of the change. |
