[Class 44.] A slider-operated fastener is provided with a covering material for the fastening elements. The end of each stringer 6 is folded back at 12 to form a covering piece 13 which is folded over the elements to meet the corresponding piece 13 on the co-operating row of elements. The bend 12 is secured to a beading 14 and stitching, hooks, or cement material is used to hold the piece 13 closely against the fastening elements. In a modification, the material 13 is separate from the stringer 6, and may be a different material. |
