A brake rotor retaining tool includes a main body having a first end, a second end with a bore extending from the first end and a grip portion. The bore has a non-threaded surface portion and a threaded surface portion. The non-threaded surface portion of the bore extends from the first end of the main body between the first end of the main body to the threaded surface portion. The non-threaded surface portion also has a first overall length measured in an axial direction of the bore. The threaded surface portion of the bore extends from the non-threaded surface portion toward the second end of the main body and has a second overall length measured in the axial direction of the bore. The first overall length is greater than the second overall length.

a main body having a first end, a second end with a bore extending from the first end and a grip portion, the bore having a non-threaded surface portion defining a first diameter and a threaded surface portion defining a second diameter, the non-threaded surface portion of the bore extending from the first end of the main body between the first end of the main body to the threaded surface portion and having a first overall length measured in an axial direction of the bore, the threaded surface portion of the bore extending from the non-threaded surface portion toward the second end of the main body and having a second overall length measured in the axial direction of the bore, the first overall length being greater than the second overall length, the first end having an outer surface defining a third diameter, the grip portion being spaced apart from the first end and being spaced apart from the second end, the grip portion having an outer most surface portion that defines a fourth diameter, the second end having an outer surface that defines a fifth diameter, the fourth diameter of the grip portion being larger than each of the third diameter and the fifth diameter.
