A nonwoven fabric (10) is configured such that, when 90 g of artificial urine is passed therethrough at a rate of 5.0 g/sec in the absence of applied pressure, a first region (11) and a second region (12), of which respective constituent fibers exhibit different hydrophilicities, are formed in the thickness direction (T). The first region (11) includes a surface of the nonwoven fabric (10). The second region (12) is adjacent to the first region (11) when being viewed in the thickness direction (T) of the nonwoven fabric (10). When the hydrophilicity is represented by a contact angle with respect to water, the contact angle of the constituent fibers of the first region (11) is greater than the contact angle of the constituent fibers of the second region (12).
