Provided are a method for tuning a water heater on the basis of fingerprints and the water heater. The method comprises: recording user-preset water heater configuration solutions; recording correlations between the water heater configuration solutions and specific fingerprints; reading fingerprint information inputted by a user; detecting whether or not a water heater configuration solution matching the fingerprint information is present; if not, then remaining unchanged; and if yes, then modifying a current configuration solution to the water heater configuration solution matching the fingerprint. Different users modify the current water heater configuration solution on the basis of fingerprints of selves, thus implementing quick switching of water heater configuration solutions between the different users. |
