The invention relates to a food-handling apparatus and in particular to an oven, for example a deck oven, having a plurality of closure shutters (doors) which are mounted such that they can be pivoted about a preferably horizontal axis. The invention addresses the problem of providing a food-handling apparatus which has a door mechanism and by means of which the inside of the door can be cleaned conveniently and reliably. A food-handling apparatus according to the invention comprises a door mechanism having a door (14) which can be pivoted about an axis (12), closes an opening (16) of the apparatus in a closed position, frees an opening (16) of the apparatus in an open position and can be displaced in a predetermined translatory and/or rotary movement, by means of a guide mechanism (18), into a cleaning position, which differs from the open position and the closed position and is spaced apart from the axis. At least one retaining means is provided, and arranged, here such that, in the cleaning position, it allows compressive loading against the inside (31) of the door. |
