PURPOSE:To respectively improve the preservability of recording or image quality by adding a specific compd. or 2,2'-methylenebis(4,6-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphate to a recording layer as a preservation improving agent and also adding a specific copolymer to the recording layer as an adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording material is obtained by arranging a recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a coupler on a support. In this case, a compd. represented by general formula (where R1-R3 are a hydrogen atom, a l-8C alkyl group or a cycloalkyl group and R4-R8 are a hydrogen atom or 1-8C alkyl group) and/or 2,2'-methylenebis(4,6-di- tertbutylphenyl)phosphate are added to the recording layer as a preservation improving agent. Further, a copolymer of polyvinyl alcohol and an acrylamide/ vinyl pyrrolidone/acrylonitrile copolymer is added as an adhesive. |
