The invention relates to information-warning devices for a pedestrian crossing for use in places of crossing intensive pedestrian and transport streams aimed at reducing traffic accidents. The information-warning device for a pedestrian crossing comprises an information carrier mounted above the trafficway on posts in the zone of pedestrian crossing, according to the invention the information carrier consists of alternate strips made of screen material having a light-reflecting effect and viewed as a "zebra" traffic marking, wherein at least one plate with a standard sign "pedestrian crossing" is fixed on the information post. Solar batteries are fixed in said information-warning device for a pedestrian crossing. The information-warning device for a pedestrian crossing is provided with a flashing beacon and a video camera. The proposed information-warning device for a pedestrian crossing increases driver's sighting distance contributing towards the traffic safety. The device is characterized by high manufacturability, autonomy and low power consumption.
