摘要 The present disclosure proposes a UE, a base station, and a MTC-IWF for implementing MTC group trigger messages through a Cell Broadcasting Service (CBS). The method includes a MTC (Machine Type Communication) server transmitting to a MTC Inter-working Function (MTC-IWF) a trigger payload. The trigger payload would be delivered by the MTC-IWF to a group of MTC devices through Cell Broadcasting Center (CBC) and network nodes. The trigger payload may include a group trigger message indicator which distinguishes the group trigger message from a normal warning message. In response to receiving the content of the trigger payload, the network would page a group of MTC devices. From the group trigger message indicator embedded in the paging message, each MTC device would be able to receive a group trigger message through new system information block of the broadcast information.

A user equipment (UE) configured to receive a group trigger message which is sent to a group of Machine Type Communication (MTC) devices comprising the UE based on a Cell Broadcast Service (CBS) messaging system, the UE comprising: a receiver; and a processing circuit coupled to the receiver, wherein the processing circuit is configured to: receive via the receiver a paging message comprising an indicator indicating a group trigger message to be received; receive via the receiver a broadcast message in response to receiving the paging message; determine a resource from the broadcast message in which the group trigger message is obtained; obtain the group trigger message from the resource of the broadcast message, wherein the resource is determined from a system information block (SIB) of the broadcast message in response to receiving the indicator, the resource is in the SIB which is other than SIB x, and x is an integer only from 1 to 13 and the SIB comprises an access barring parameter which randomizes a response time for each of the group of MTC devices to respond according to a randomized delay.
