A process for obtaining a substrate having a coating on at least one of its sides, the process comprising: depositing a coating on at least one side of a substrate; and heat treating said coating with a main laser radiation, wherein at least one portion of the main laser radiation transmitted through said substrate is redirected in the direction of said substrate to form at least one secondary laser radiation, wherein the angle formed by the secondary radiation and normal to the substrate is less than 45°, wherein the angles formed by the main radiation with the normal to the substrate and the at least one secondary radiation with the normal to the substrate are different, and wherein the secondary radiation is not polarized.
