A livestock tag comprising a male part (1) and a female part (7). The inner surface of each female part (7) is detachably welded on the inner surface of a corresponding male part (1) so as to form a single piece. A method of manufacturing a strip of livestock tags is also described. The method involves the following steps:
(i) designing a plurality of livestock tags such that in each tag, the inner surface of each female part (7) is detachably welded on the inner surface (2) of a corresponding male part (1),
(ii) welding overlapping surfaces of the male parts (1a, 1b) of different live stock tags in an overlapping fashion, one after another so as to form a strip. |
