Vision-Based Diagnosis and Treatment

Devices and methods are provided herein for aiding in the early diagnosis and remediation of conditions that range from unpleasant to disabling. Images are presented to viewers in an assembly that also eye-tracks their eyes during that process and executes software to identify visual signatures of conditions in the responses of the eyes. Also, responsive treatment for a thus-identified presentation of the condition can be effected in real time providing the patient with both a cause-and-effect perception of the presentation of the condition and means for correcting related ocular behaviors right when they occur.

1. A device to contribute to the diagnosis of a condition comprising:
an eye-tracking assembly; a plurality of images to be displayed; a display to display said plurality of images to a viewer; data that is at least indicative of where, in at least one of said plurality of images, a person having the condition is likely to look; and a processing assembly configured to, in coordination with the display of said plurality of images, determine, from said eye-tracking assembly and said data, a result at least indicative of the state of the viewer with respect to the condition based at least on if the viewer tends to look where the person having the condition is likely to look.
