METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EXPLORING FRONTHAUL TOPOLOGY

Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method and apparatus for exploring a fronthaul topology. The method comprises: a baseband device sends an original route explorer frame; the baseband device receives a destination route explorer frame, the destination route explorer frame being formed by the original route explorer frame after a first transport network device records first port information and a second transport network device records second port information; and the baseband device determines exploration information according to the destination route explorer frame, and sends the exploration information to a network element management system (EMS). In the method and apparatus for exploring a fronthaul topology in the embodiments of the present invention, a baseband device sends a route explorer frame for exploring a path, to a radio frequency device by means of a transport network device in a transport network; after the transport network device records related port information, the transport network device returns the route explorer frame to the baseband device, and the baseband device reports the exploring result to a wireless EMS, so that the wireless EMS can determine topological information between a wireless device and the transport network device, and determines a connection relationship among device ports.
