PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear pump capable of pressure-feeding a fluid of low viscosity while securing sufficient discharge pressure and discharge amount by suppressing decentering of gear shafts.SOLUTION: A gear pump includes a casing 2, side plates 3a, 3b, and a pair of gears. Supporting holes 11a, 11b of the side plates are provided with fluid reservoir grooves 15a, 15b connected to a discharge port side along the axial direction, and the fluid reservoir grooves are disposed so that, when the supporting holes are viewed from the longitudinal plane, the centers of the groove widths are positioned at a fluid suction port side, and straight lines respectively connecting the center of the groove width and the center of the supporting hole, are inclined in rotating directions Ra, Rb of the gears with respect to the fluid suction direction S at prescribed angles &thetas;1a, &thetas;1b. |
