A handheld skin exfoliating apparatus (10) has handle (12) and head (14) portions with two drums (16, 18) having different abrasiveness mounted on opposite sides of the head portion (12). A drive motor and gears are mounted to the handle (12) and/or head portions (14) and operatives (20) to rotate the drums (16, 18) for exfoliate skin when a respective outer surface of one drum (16, 18) contacts the skin.
