419,177. Optical-projection apparatus. STEVENS, A. H., 5, Quality Court, Chancery Lane, London.-(Trans-Lux Daylight Picture Screen Corporation; 247, Park Avenue, New York, U.S.A.) Feb. 7, 1933, No. 3783. [Class 97 (i).] In a projector system comprising a projector at one side of a line passing normally through the centre of the screen and capable of use with the lens axis normal to the screen, the lens is capable of rotation to centre the image area on the screen, and the film path is capable of angular adjustment to focus the image ; the lens may be laterally movable, and the light source may also be laterally movable. The projector may be one of a pair of kinematograph projectors placed close behind the screen on opposite sides of the centre line, and may comprise a lens b rotatable about a pivot d near its rear end, or near its front end, and a gate having members 6, 7 separably secured together and rotatable about an axis d<3> by means of screws 8, 9. The lens may be carried by a support having a section 8<b>, Fig. 5, projecting through an aperture 7e in a bracket 7<a>, and the pivot d may project through a slot d<1> in the bracket and be provided with a thumbscrew d<2>. A screw 1 pivoted to the section 8b may project through the housing and carry a nut 5 and a spring 3 abutting against a collar 4 and the wall housing. The lens is turned about the pivot d by slightly loosening the thumbscrew and rotating the nut, and is moved laterally by further loosening of the thumbscrew, by turning the nut, and at the same time applying force to the lens holder to move it.
