PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus capable of easily measuring total hardness or magnesium hardness within water.SOLUTION: A measuring apparatus of total hardness or magnesium hardness includes: a water quality measuring unit capable of measuring calcium hardness of a water sample and configured to output a result of the measuring; a storage unit capable of storing and reading-out a relation between previously measured calcium hardness and total hardness, or a relation between calcium hardness and magnesium hardness; and an arithmetic unit configured to perform computing based on the result of the measurement output from the water quality measuring unit and a factor read out from the storage unit according to a measurement area, to output an estimate value of total hardness or magnesium hardness of the water sample. |
