A method for casting a solid fuel propellant charge by fixing a core (3) along the axis of a combustion chamber (1), pouring plastic fuel material (2) into the chamber (1) and removing the core after hardening the charge, involves fixing to the core (3) and/or the chamber wall (13) a number of formed parts (5-11) with openings (15) for material (2) during pouring and compaction, which remain in the charge after removing the core (3) and consist of material which burns or decomposes when the charge burns.
