PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food container that is easy to open, has almost no problem of trashing, or the like, can prevent suspicious objects from getting mixed therein during transportation or sale, and has improved food safety by making it distinguishable from the outside whether the container is unsealed.SOLUTION: The food container (1) includes: a container body (2) filled with food; a lid (3) removably placed on an upper edge (2a) of the container body (2); and a lock mechanism (L) for holding the container body (2) and the lid (3) in a closed state. The lock mechanism (L) is provided with: operating levers (4) having a locking part (4b), and swingably provided on one of the container body (2) and the lid (3); a locked part (2b1) provided on the other, and locked by the locking part (4b) to thereby hold the container in a closed state; and a virgin seal (5) for preventing the locked state of the locking part (4b) and the locked part (2b1) from being released. |
