A communications interface system includes a housing and one or more removable components. The removable components can include one or more removable communications module configured to facilitate communication between the interface system and one or more other communications or control systems. A facepack can be removably coupled with the housing. The facepack can include one or more displays and/or user input structures.

1. A communications module for a landscape control communications system, the communications module comprising:
a housing having a first end, a second end, and a plurality of sides between the first end and the second end; a communication unit on or in the housing and configured to send data to or receive data from an external data source; a first locking member at a first side of the plurality of sides, the first locking member configured to releasably engage with a portion of a communications interface system; a second locking member at a second side of the plurality of sides, the second locking member having a released position and a locking position to connect the communications module to the communications interface system, wherein the second locking member is biased to the locking position; and a release member positioned on the housing and configured to transition the second locking member between the released position and the locking position, the release member comprising a lever hingedly connected to a surface of the housing and configured to transition the second locking member to the released configuration when the lever is rotated with respect to the housing.
