发明名称 Improvements in resilient mountings
摘要 468,165. Resilient mountings. UNITED STATES RUBBER PRODUCTS, Inc. Oct. 10, 1936, No. 27512. Convention date, Oct. 10, 1935. [Class 108 (iii)] A resilient mounting comprises two metallic members each having a leg extending substantially parallel to the direction of the load and a leg extending substantially at right-angles to the first leg, one of the members being inverted with respect to the other and having its legs extending substantially parallel to the legs of the other member and rubber bonded to and between the sides of the legs of both members extending in the direction of the load. The mounting shown in Fig. 3 consists of a channel-member formed of angle-irons 1, 2 and an inverted angle-iron M, one leg 9 of which is interposed between and separated by rubber or like material R from the legs 4, 6 of the angleirons 1, 2, the rubber being bonded preferably by vulcanization to the legs 4, 9, 6. The machine or like to be supported rests on the leg 8 of the angle-iron M stressing the rubber in shear, a space A beneath the edge of the leg 9 allowing vertical movements of the leg. The rubber may be permanently compressed between the legs 4, 6. In order to prevent complete collapse of the mounting in the event of failure of the bond between the rubber and metal parts &c., at least one double-angle member 10 is secured to the legs 3, 5 and extends with clearance through holes 13, 14, 17 in the legs 6, 9 and rubber respectively and through a slot 15 on leg 4. In a modification, the legs 4, 6, 9 are curved in plan view so that lateral vibrations in all directions are resisted by compression of the rubber. The member 10 in this case is dispensed with. The mounting shown in Fig. 8 is circular in plan view and is centrally secured between the supported and supporting members. Peripheral openings 34 in the channel-member C<11> facilitate shear stressing of the rubber, the rubber portions R" between the openings being compressed.
