A motor which is equipped with: a rotor that has a shaft centered about a central axis extending in the vertical direction; a stator that is disposed opposite the rotor in the radial direction; a bearing that supports the shaft; a bearing holder that holds the bearing; and a housing that houses the rotor, stator, and bearing holder and is open on the upper end. The housing is provided with, on the upper side of the bearing holder, a control device housing region that is capable of housing at least a portion of a control device that is electrically connected to the stator. The inner diameter of the housing in the control device housing region is larger than the inner diameter of the housing in the location in which the bearing holder is attached. The bearing holder is held by an interference fit with the inner peripheral surface of the housing.
