A transport container (10) for value documents can be retrofitted with an RFID transponder (24) which is placed on a rear face of a clip-type support (22). The RFID transponder clip (20) locks into a pocket (15) of the transport container (10) in such a way that the RFID transponder lies in a protected manner between an outer wall (17) and the support (22).
