[Class 20 (iii)] Sliding-doors are suspended from two channel members 2 by a T-shaped member having studs 10 engaging socketted runners 11 in the channels. The channels 2 are spaced by sleeves and a channel 6 if desired, and supported by bolts 4 in the frame or wall, and the T-shaped member may comprise angles connected to a triangular plate 8 recessed into the door and secured by bolts 14 and socketted nuts. For heavy doors, the channels are secured by a flat plate 15 and a bent plate 16 bolted thereto and to the wall, as shown in Fig. 4, and the T-shaped member may be replaced by a plate 19 and bolt 18 adjustably bolted by nut and lock-nut to the door, and for folding doors the bolt 18 forms the hinge pin of a pair of sections. |
