451,698. Paper &c. tubes. BERLINER MASCHINENBAU - AKT.-GES. VORM. L. SCHWARTZKOPFF, 23, Chausseestrasse, Berlin. Nov. 7, 1934, No. 32054. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, May 8, 1935]. [Class 99 (ii)] Pressing mechanism for the tubular bodies of paper &c. bottles &c. is constructed in such a way that the pressing operation is not commenced until the pressing tool 3 has completed its axial movement into the mould 1. When the ram 2, carrying the tool 3, has almost completed its axial movement, a stop 11 bears against the mould 1 to prevent further movement of the rod 7 by reason of the connection 8. During the short remaining stroke of the ram the rubber cone 4 is compressed between the nuts 5, 6 to press the paper &c. body against the mould. A further rubber 12 may be fitted which effects pressure in widening the neck of the bottle &c. by contact with a controlled tool 15. If desired, the stop 11 may be dispensed with, the tool 15, by contact with the rod 7, effecting, simultaneously, the outward movement of both rubbers 4, 12. |
