The invention provides a pointing rod which has high-stability detection characteristics and can realize thinness. The pointing rod (100) is provided with an operating body (10), a plurality of sensor elements (21, 22, 23, 24), an upper-side fixing plate (40) and a lower-side fixing plate (50). The operating body (10) is provided with a base part (1), an operating part (2) protruding upward from the base part (1), and an annular support part (3) configured to extend in a manner surrounding the base part (1). The sensor elements (21, 22, 23, 24) are used to detect an amount of deflection of the base part (1). The upper-side fixing plate (40) and the lower-side fixing plate (50) clamp the annular support part (3) and then are fixed, the annular support part (3) is provided with a main body part (31) supported by the lower-side fixing plate (50) and a fixing part (34) which is configured to extend outwardly from the periphery (31a) of the main body part (31) along the lower-side fixing plate (50) and which is thinner than the main body part (31) in the vertical-direction thickness, and the fixing part (34) are clamped by the upper-side fixing plate (40) and the lower-side fixing plate (50). |
