Head-tracking system and operating method thereof

A method for operating a head-tracking system and a corresponding head-tracking system are provided. In an embodiment, a stationary reference point (15) is detected, and the detecting means (16, 18) of the head-tracking system for detecting the position of a head are calibrated based on said detected stationary reference point. In another embodiment, the detection of the stationary reference point is used to determine the head's position.
