PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector equipped with a lens shift mechanism decreased in size.SOLUTION: The projector comprises a lens shift mechanism 4 moving a projection lens in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis P of the projection lens. The lens shift mechanism 4 comprises a moving portion supporting the projection lens and capable of moving in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis P, a guiding portion guiding the movement of the moving portion, and a driving portion 10 moving the moving portion. The driving portion 10 comprises a rotation driving portion 11 having a first bevel gear 112 rotating about a center shaft extending in the same direction as the optical shaft P, and driven to rotate; and a transmitting portion 12 having a second bevel gear 121 engaged with the first bevel gear 112 and transmitting rotations of the rotation driving portion 11 to the moving portion. |
