An optical vital signs sensor (100) is provided to determine vital signs of a user. The sensor is a PPG sensor and comprises a light source (110) generating light at a plurality of wavelengths which is directed towards a skin (1000) of the user, a photo detector unit (120) detecting light at a plurality of wavelengths, wherein said light being indicative of a reflection of light emitted in or from the skin (1000), wherein the reflected light is light at a plurality of wavelengths, and an analyzing unit (130) analyzing samples of the detected light according to their wavelength separately. The analyzing unit (130) is configured to clamp samples at one of the wavelengths to a reference value by subtracting an offset from these samples and to subtract the offset from samples at the other wavelengths. |
