Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and apparatus of transmitting a discovery reference signal (DRS) for Licensed-Assisted Access (LAA), and a method and apparatus of receiving a DRS for LAA. The method of transmitting a DRS for LLA comprises transmitting a DRS indication indicating a new DRS pattern, and transmitting, in a DRS subframe, a DRS with the new DRS pattern so as to perform a required measurement. Particularly, in the new DRS pattern, at least one of symbols 2 3, 5 and 6 in a DRS subframe with a normal cyclic prefix (CP) or at least one of symbols 2 and 4, 5 in a DRS subframe with an extended CP are used by channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs) so that the DRS occupies continuous symbols in the DRS subframe. With embodiments of the present disclosure, it provides a new solution for DRS in which a new DRS pattern is used and continuous DRS transmission in time domain is enabled. |
