The utility model relates to the footwear industry and is directed toward enhancing the performance of driving shoes by providing 100% contact of the foot with the accelerator pedal, minimizing pressure on the sole of the foot by evenly distributing load across the entire surface of the forefoot, holding the shoe firmly on the foot, preventing rapid deterioration of the shoe and preventing the foot from slipping on a vehicle floor mat. The technical result is achieved by footwear for use when driving which consists of an upper and of a sole, the shape of the forepart of which corresponds entirely to the shape of an accelerator pedal, said sole being flexible at the point where the foot flexes and being rigid in the region of contact with the accelerator pedal; furthermore, the counter of the upper is rigid and is provided with a rubber edging in the heel collar region. |
