A soft keyboard layout adjusting method and apparatus, and an electronic device. The method and apparatus are applied to an electronic device with a touch screen. The method comprises: after an input method of the electronic device is started, acquiring fingerprint information generated when a user touches the touch screen (S110), the fingerprint information comprising an area of contact between a finger of the user and the touch screen; calculating an average value of the acquired area of contact, and taking an obtained average area of contact as a target area of contact (S120); verifying a pre-set soft keyboard layout index by means of the target area of contact to obtain soft keyboard target layout information corresponding to the target area of contact (S130); and adjusting a soft keyboard current layout structure of the input method according to the soft keyboard target layout information (S140). Thus, the size of each key in a soft keyboard of the input method is suitable for the user, and influence on information input efficiency caused by faulty operation due to over-small keys is avoided. Moreover, waste of a display area of the touch screen due to over-large keys is avoided, thereby improving the user experience. |
