A position detection device is mounted in a vehicle (A), and communicates wirelessly with a portable terminal (110) of a person (B) to be notified, and thereby detects the relative position of the portable terminal. The position detection device is provided with: a satellite signal reception unit (45) for receiving a positioning signal (Sg); a correction signal reception unit (43) for receiving a correction signal (Sc); a terminal position communication unit (41) for receiving by wireless communication from the portable terminal the acquired positioning signal of the portable terminal; and a corrected-position calculation unit for correcting the received positioning signals of both the portable terminal and the satellite signal reception unit using the correction signal, and calculating the positional relationship of the portable terminal in relation to the vehicle on the basis of the vehicle position information and the terminal position information based on the corrected positioning signals.
