Provided is a laminate which has a first light polarizer, a first patterned optically anisotropic layer, a second patterned optically anisotropic layer, and a second light polarizer, provided in that order, and includes an optically anisotropic layer disposed between the second light polarizer and the second patterned optically anisotropic layer, wherein: the angle formed between the absorption axis of the first light polarizer and the absorption axis of the second light polarizer is 90˚±5˚; the first and second patterned optically anisotropic layers are respectively provided with a plurality of phase difference regions having different in-plane slow axis directions; switching between a white display state and a black display state is performed; the slow axis directions of first phase difference regions and second phase difference regions are both not parallel nor orthogonal to the absorption axes and transmission axes of the two light polarizers; and the optically anisotropic layer has an Re_off(550) of 240-310 nm, and an Rth_off(550) of -50 to 50 nm.
