The method involves transporting a set of products (2, 3), to be sorted, using a transport device (1) in a form of a product stream with a width (W), where a background element (5) extends across the width. The product stream is exposed to a concentrated light beam using a focus unit in absence the background element. Light reflected by the products is captured. The products are automatically separated from the product stream based on to the captured light. An independent claim is also included for a device comprising a transport device. |
