PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replacement method of a blast furnace bleeder valve packing which enables efficient replacement of a packing by reducing the wait time (loss time) in replacing the packing of a bleeder valve arranged in the furnace top of a blast furnace.SOLUTION: In replacing a packing 19 attached to the lower surface of the upper-end part of a nearly cylindrical case 11 in contact with the upper surface of a reverse-conical valve body 12 of a bleeder valve 10 arranged in the furnace top of a blast furnace 1, the bleeder valve 10 is made in an opened state by lowering the valve body 12; a thermal protection hood 21 is arranged above the valve body 12 to allow in-furnace gas to pass through the thermal protection hood 21 and be discharged into the atmosphere; and an operation of replacing the packing 19 is then carried out by an operator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
