The present invention is related to an electric grill appliance (1) comprising: a grill structure (2, 7) arranged substantially horizontally to support the foodstuff to be cooked; a heating unit (3, 11) which extends underneath the grill structure (2, 7) and is arranged for heating up the grill structure (2, 7) and the foodstuff resting on it; and a heat-reflecting structure (16, 18) which extends spaced apart underneath the heating unit (3, 11) and is arranged for redirecting, towards the overlying grill structure (2, 7), the heat radiations emitted by the heating unit (3, 11); the grill structure (2, 7) comprising a number of main longitudinal members (8) which are arranged substantially parallel, juxtaposed and laterally spaced one another; the heating unit (3, 11) comprising a number of oblong heating elements (12) which are arranged substantially parallel, juxtaposed and laterally spaced one another, below and substantially parallel to the main longitudinal members (8) of said grill structure (2, 7); the heat-reflecting structure (16, 18) comprising a number of heat-reflecting longitudinal members (19) which are arranged substantially parallel, juxtaposed and laterally spaced one another, below and substantially parallel to said oblong heating elements (12). |
