PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function extension program being a program for extending a function of an existing application by using print data and being capable of easily realizing various function extension without changing a program of the existing application and without using an existing driver, and the like.SOLUTION: A program causing function extension of an application to be executed causes a computer operating by an OS and executing predetermined processing by the application to execute the steps of: acquiring print data output from the application toward a driver before reception thereof by the driver and transmitting the print data toward a communication port; acquiring the print data transmitted or the print data output from the application toward the communication port before reception thereof by the communication port and transferring them; and outputting data having been processed to the communication port while performing the function extension with respect to the print data transferred in an application layer. |
