PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety cover for a circular knife of a food slicer enhancing safety to prevent an accident involving a circular knife touching an operator.SOLUTION: A food slicer comprises: a circular knife 3 rotatably supported; and a food box 4 reciprocating in the right and left direction, with its front end surface touching a rotary surface of the circular knife 3. The food slicer can select a state of a safety cover 8, which is configured to be a plate large enough to cover whole of the circular knife 3, and to be positioned closely to the rotary surface of the circular knife, either from the state to cover the circular knife 3 in conjunction with reciprocation of the food box 4 or the state to stay away from the circular knife 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
