1. A method for crimping a medical implant on a catheter, comprising:
crimping the medical implant on the catheter, wherein the medical implant comprises: a foldable and unfoldable structure on or around or over a portion or outer surface of the catheter, wherein the foldable and unfoldable structure comprises one or more heart valve leaflets or replacements or substitutes thereof, a proximal ring and a distal ring for guiding strings which can be tightened or released for folding and unfolding of the medical implant in a controlled manner, and one or more interconnecting elements for maintaining a distance between the proximal ring and the distal ring of the implant, wherein no pressure beyond a predetermined pressure is exerted on the structure during and/or after crimping of the implant, the exerted pressure does not exceed a predetermined pressure between the interconnecting elements and the outer surface of the catheter, and the predetermined pressure has a pressure value that is determined and/or selected before or during the crimping process takes place or adjusted at a crimping device for crimping the medical implant. |
