A method for prompting information when adjusting a fan via a gesture and the fan. The method comprises: recording variable parameters of a fan preset by a user and matching gestures corresponding to the variable parameters (S101); when the user inputs a gesture, detecting whether or not there is a variable parameter matching the gesture (S102); if yes, then adjusting the fan to operate in a state of the variable parameter matching the gesture and pushing patent information to the user (S103); and if not, keeping the fan unchanged (S104). The technical solution allows, once the fan is adjusted by the user to the most comfortable state, the fan to be easily adjusted back to the most comfortable state even after being adjusted separately by another person and, at the same time, and fully safeguards the lawful rights and interests of the inventor. |
