The purpose of the present invention is to provide a solar cell and an organic semiconductor material that have high photoelectric conversion efficiency and excellent high temperature durability. The present invention is a solar cell including: an electrode; a counter electrode; a photoelectric conversion layer interposed between the electrode and the counter electrode; and a hole transport layer interposed between the photoelectric conversion layer and the counter electrode, wherein the hole transport layer contains an ionic compound containing an organic semiconductor cation and a fluorine-containing compound anion, and the metal concentration in the hole transport layer is 1000 ppm or lower.
